Ball Bag,
There are other Altbier places in the Altstadt too. Füchschen, Schlüssel, Schumacher plus another one who's name I can't recall.

See if Dusseldorf are playing at home that Sunday.
Excellent stadium to watch football in, good atmosphere and you can drink beer at your seat... or there is a standing section.
I went when we had the Schalke Tournament a couple of pre seasons back and it was second best bit of the weekend

Go to Uhrige, massive bar in the Altstadt, only place you can get their Alt on tap I think - only serves the one beer so they walk around with trays of halves, replacing wherever they see an empty and marking your beer mat each time. Once you've had enough put the mat on top of your glass. Could have stayed there all day. Apart from the Xmas market there's not much else to recommend... DDorf always seemed to be just full of shops.

Found a pub/brewery with alt beer quite central and a stand up bar in the market with good cheap food also. The bakery restaurant in the old town for Sunday morning breakfast was really expensive yet packed! liked it and it has a nice airport but Probably prefer Cologne as a city break as it has the massive Music store as an additional attraction (probably Europe biggest musical instrument shop)

Go to Wupperthal and have a go on the schwebebahn, an old monorail train which follows the course of the river . Quite a unique experience
